Fuel prices rose 2.9 per cent from September to October in the wake of price movements in the international crude oil and oil product markets. The 12-month growth rate for this group was 11.1 per cent in October. Other groups showed only small or no change from the previous month.
The price index for first-time domestic sales of goods in Norway rose 0.6 per cent from September to October, propelled largely by the continued strong increase in fuel prices. From October last year to October this year (the 12-month growth rate), the index climbed 2.6 per cent after rising 1.7 per cent in September.
