More than NOK 90 billion to specialist health care

Total expenditures in specialist health care were NOK 94.6 billion in 2008, including depreciation. This is an increase of 6.8 per cent compared to 2006. Expenditures for general hospitals amounted to NOK 67.8 billion, psychiatric health care for adults amounted to NOK 14.1 billion, psychiatric health care for children and adolescents amounted to NOK 2.8 billion and health care and treatment of substance abuse to NOK 3.0 billion.

Total expenditures include general hospitals, psychiatric health care, ambulances, specialised substance abuse treatment, administration and expenses related to personnel and recruitment.

Information about the balance sheet for 2007 and 2008 was published in December 2009.
