A total of 58 per cent of the population report a good overall impression of Statistics Norway, according to Synovate's most recent survey on the public's impression of 82 government agencies in Norway. This is very much the same result as last year. (25.11)
The global demand for official statistics is growing steadily. To this end, Statistics Norway has compiled a guide to dissemination, together with the international organisation PARIS21. "User friendly presentation of statistics" is aimed at helping statistics agencies in developing countries to devise strategies and guidelines for the dissemination of statistics. (20.11)

Statistics Norway has introduced a new version of Norwegian industry classification (SIC2007), for use in connection with its statistics on industry. This new classification provides a more suitable and updated description of the activity concerning both the private and public sectors, with more focus on service industries. (03.03)
