Increase in salmon export price

In the period from 2 January – 8 January 2017 the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 75.25 per kilo. This is an increase of 2.3 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 11 950 tonnes in the period 2 January – 8 January. This is 14.8 per cent more than in the previous week, 26 December – 1 January when exported volume was 10 408 tonnes. Note that weeks including Christmas and New Year normally show lower export volumes.

 

Norway exported 286 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 70.72 per kilo in the period 2 January – 8 January.
