Uncertainty due to strikeOpen and readClose

A correct capacity and capacity utilization is entirely dependent on correct available capacity and the number of opening days from the respondents. This is particularly important at a time in which many accommodation establishments have been fully or partially on strike. Figures SSB has received for May 2016 show that not many have adjusted opening days or capacity. SSB has been eventually able to reduce number of days opened for those that were fully closed in weeks. However, we still could not find out exactly how many rooms were in practice out of operation due to the strike. One must therefore exercise caution when using capacity related figures for May 2016.
