OECD-scale 50 per cent
Low-income threshold equal to 50 per cent of the population's average median equivalent income in the three-year period. Consumption units (OECD-scale) have been calculated by giving the first adult in the household a value of 1.0, 0.7 for any additional adult, and 0.5 for each child.

Low-income threshold equal to 60 per cent of the population's average median equivalent income in the three-year period. Consumption units (OECD-scale) have been calculated by giving the first adult in the household a value of 1.0, 0.7 for any additional adult, and 0.5 for each child.

EU-scale 50 per cent
Low-income threshold equal to 50 per cent of the population's average median equivalent income in the thrre-year period. Consumption units (EU-scale) have been calculated by giving the first adult in the household a value of 1.0, 0.5 for any additional adult, and 0.3 for each child.

The number of observations for 2009-2011 has been corrected.

Students: Persons living alone the last year of the referance period and who receive study loans.
Figures for 2020 were corrected on September 2, 2022. Salary compensation for those who are temporarily laid off ('lønnskompensasjon') was included twice in the calculation of total income, and thus figures for total income were about 7 billion NOK too high.
