Some occupations have a small number of employees. The reason is probably that they are usually occupied as self-employed, whom are not included in these statistics. All 1s and 2s have been replaced by 0 or 3 in order to meet privacy requirement. When the figures are aggregated to a higher regional level, the sum may differ slightly from the actual figure. We lack information about occupations for self-employed persons. Because of errors in the reporting, Statistics Norway also lacks information about occupation for some employments. In addition, it was voluntary for employers to report occupational codes in the a-scheme for the group of freelancers, contractors, and fee persons from 2015 to March 2019. From April 2019, occupational codes were also mandatory for this group. The latter contributes to a large decline in the number of unknown occupations between 2018 and 2019.
