Increase in petroleum tax payments
By the end of April, NOK 297.5 billion had been paid in taxes in Norway. This is an increase of 10.2 per cent from last year. NOK 73.1 billion has been paid in taxes on extraction of petroleum. (16.05.2012)

ODA figures from OECD
Slight drop in share to development aid
Total net official development assistance (ODA) from the 23 OECD countries that are members of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) amounted to USD 133.5 billion in 2011. This corresponds to 0.31 per cent of the countries’ combined gross national income, down from 0.32 per cent in 2010. (15.05.2012)

Increase in government revenue
The central government’s fiscal account, including the National Insurance Scheme, shows an increase in total revenue from NOK 1 065 billion in 2010 to NOK 1 224 billion in 2011. Total expenditure has increased from NOK 893 billion to NOK 952 billion. (09.05.2012)

Decline in publicly-owned enterprises
There were approximately 3 200 publicly-owned non-financial enterprises at the end of 2011. About 2 500, which is approximately 78 per cent, were local government-owned enterprises, while the rest were owned by the central government. County authorities’ net operating surplus NOK 3.4 billion
Preliminary figures for county authorities in 2011 show a total net operating surplus of approximately NOK 3.3 billion or 5.5 per cent of gross operating revenues. This is a reduction of almost NOK 1.7 billion from 2010. (15.03.2012)

Public non-financial corporations achieved a profitable account in the 2010 fiscal year. The high profit is mainly attributed to enterprises involved in mining and quarrying. Corporations involved in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply also achieved high profits. (21.12.2011)

Statistics of accounts - local government- owned rehabilitation enterprises
Profitable development
Rehabilitation enterprises owned by the local government achieved a profitable accounting year in 2010. Profit before tax was NOK 92 million, which is a decline of some NOK 28 million from 2009. These enterprises employed about 24 700 persons as at the end of 2010. (06.12.2011)

Public purchases totalled NOK 380 billion
Public purchases of goods and services amounted to about NOK 380 billion in 2010. This is an increase of about NOK 10 billion, or 2.8 per cent, compared to 2009. Public purchases amounted to some 15.1 per cent of the gross domestic product. (06.12.2011)

Extended use of property tax in municipalities
Property tax was a source of revenue for 309 municipalities in 2010. The municipalities had total revenues of NOK 7.1 billion from property tax in 2010. Property tax then contributed to 2.4 per cent of the municipalities’ total gross operating revenues. (27.06.2011)

Increase in both revenue and expenditure
The Central government fiscal account had a total revenue of NOK 332 billion in the second quarter of 2006. Total expenditure amounted to NOK 186 billion the same period. This corresponds to a 16.4 per cent increase in revenue, and 11 per cent increase in expenditure compared with the second quarter 2005. (25.08.2006)
