Slight increase in river catch of salmon
In 2011, the total river catch of salmon, sea trout and migratory char amounted to 445 tonnes. This is 7 tonnes, or 2 per cent, more than in 2010. In addition, 68 tonnes of fish were caught and released. (27.01.2012)

Sales generate NOK 30 billion
The final aquaculture figures show 2010 to be a record-breaking sales year in Norwegian fish farming. The first-hand value for reared fish reached NOK 30.7 billion, with a corresponding quantity of one billion tonnes. (01.12.2011)
