Increased sales in April
Sales of petroleum products increased by 10.3 per cent from April 2012 to April this year, when they ended at 768 million litres.

In 2012, Easter was in April, while this year it was in March. There were three more working days in April this year and this can be a contributing factor to the increase in sales.
Increase in diesel sales
Sales of auto diesel increased by 16 per cent and amounted to 305 million litres in April this year, which is 42 million litres more than in April 2012. Meanwhile, the price of auto diesel saw a 6.7 per cent decrease. In April, one litre cost on average NOK 12.72, while in April 2012 the price was NOK 13.63. Auto diesel sales made up 39.7 per cent of total sales of petroleum products.
Sales of motor gasoline amounted to 106 million litres; a decrease of 6.2 per cent or 7 million litres. The price went down from NOK 15.45 in April 2012 to NOK 14.51 in April this year; a 6 per cent decrease.
