NOK 32.3 billion was paid in taxes in August this year. The majority of the payments came from taxes on petroleum extraction, which accounted for NOK 27.5 billion of the total. So far this year, there has been a reduction of 18.7 per cent in taxes on petroleum extraction compared to the same period last year. This is the reason for the decline in the overall tax payments, which has decreased by 2.9 per cent.

Through the advance tax arrangement and non-personal taxpaying arrangement, excluding taxes on petroleum extraction, a total of NOK 450.3 billion has been paid so far this year. Compared to last year, this is an increase of 2.4 per cent, or NOK 10.7 billion. Contributions to the National Insurance Scheme accounted for 179.4 billion of the payments through the advance tax arrangement, which is an increase of 4.7 per cent.
