The statistics on the environment provide an overview of important environmental and resource issues inNorway. In recent decades there has been an increase in the emission of greenhouse gases. The volume of waste has also increased, but more of the waste is now used as a resource. Steadily more people are living in urban areas, which presents new environmental challenges.
