Key figures for construction, housing and property
The figures show the activity in the building and construction industry, developments in the construction of residential properties and price changes in the housing market. The statistics are used by the construction industry and public administration, and are important for builders, sellers and buyers of property.

The production index measures developments in the value added within building and construction on a quarterly basis. Changes from the preceding period are seasonally adjusted. Changes from the same period in the preceding year are adjusted for the number of working days.
Orders received is the value of new orders that the company has received during the quarter, including orders that are completed in the same quarter.
The construction cost indices measure the overall price developments in materials, labour, machinery and other factors involved in building and construction activities.
The Price Index for New Detached Houses measures developments in the housebuilders’ house prices including VAT.
The House Price Index measures the average change in value of all housing in Norway.
Holiday homes sold comprises registered sales of holiday properties sold on the open market.
