Key figures for the population
The statistics show how the population changes, including its composition and size. In 2012, the population in Norway reached the 5 million mark. In 1665, the population was 440 000. Other milestones are the years 1822, 1890, 1942 and 1975, when we passed one, two, three and four million respectively.
