1The calculation basis for Syria with a residence of less than 4 years was about 200 persons per year until 2012, eventually rising to 3 000 in 2014. About 2 600 of these had arrived in the preceding two years. For residence of 4-6 years, the basis for calculation was about 200 in the period 2009-2014. The number of Syrians with residence longer than 6 years increased from 600 in 2009 to 1 100 in 2014. The figures for Iraq are higher than 2 000 in all cells. These employment figures for Syria are therefore based on fewer individuals than the figures for Iraq in the table, especially for residence of 4-6 years, and residence of less than 4 years up to 2012.
