Else Hagen (1914-2010) was a Norwegian artist who worked with painting, graphics and mosaics.
Until the second half of the 1950s, Else Hagen worked mainly with painting. Her main theme was people in everyday situations. Else Hagen later worked with large material mosaics in public buildings in Oslo, Bærum, Bergen and Haugesund. She is particularly known for her mosaic decoration in the Storting’s stair hall. Else Hagen has been called «The grand dame of Norwegian monumental art.»
