4  University of Agder, previously Agder university college, was classified as a university as of 1 September 2007.
5  Tromsø University College and University of Tromsø has been merged as of 1 January 2009.
6  Logistics subjects are classified as subjects of Spesialised university nstitutions as of 1 January 2010.
7  Logistics studies are not included.
8  Decline in number of students is due to the exclusion of supplementary education.
9  Decline in number of students is due to a change in the system of reporting.
